Blue Zebra Insurance Reinforces Market Presence with In-House Claims Service

Blue Zebra Insurance is proud to announce a strategic transformation in its claim service delivery, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing journey in the dynamic Australian underwriting market. Effective 1 July, 2024, all claims for Home, Landlord, and Business Package policies will be managed internally by Blue Zebra's dedicated claims team.

This pivotal shift underscores Blue Zebra's commitment to amplifying its presence and bolstering its offerings in the market. Colin Fagen, the Managing Director of Blue Zebra, emphasised the importance of this evolution, stating, 'It’s the next stage in our development. As we continue our profitable growth and move well beyond a $300m GWP underwriting agency, we wanted to ensure our model scales for the long term. By bringing the delivery of our property claims service in-house, we will be able to continue to deliver on our promises to our customers and support the continued expansion of our offering.'

Rifhat Jangir, Blue Zebra's Head of Claims, expressed enthusiasm about the transition, highlighting the potential for innovation and advancement in the claims space. 'I am looking forward to building on the good work of the current claims service. The opportunities to improve the application of technology in the claims space are exciting and we will now be able to move forward with these quickly.'

Blue Zebra has diligently worked to ensure a seamless transition for its valued insurance broking clients. All existing contact points, phone numbers, and digital claim lodgement details will remain unchanged. Additionally, a new designated email address will serve as a key point of contact for claims inquiries.
